I've always been interested in music - it runs in the family. From an early age I was surrounded by music, my Grandmother singing traditional songs, my Father singing Folk songs, Me singing in the choir!
At school I was listening to the hits of the day and the first records I bought were by local band Lindisfarne as well as Rod Stewart & the Faces, then Genesis.
On leaving school I bought my first electric guitar and began teaching myself. I would go to local gigs and buy lot's of records and was inspired to start my own group.
I played gigs in Durham and Newcastle in North-East England before moving to London and then Oxford. To check out my music you can visit my other site at www.myspace.com/imdjmusic
My DJ'ing started at a Dance class called CEROC where the music ranged from 1940's tunes to present day top 40 hits. I also did dome wedding and corporate DJ'ing. Following on from this I was a presenter at Radio Cherwell, Oxford's Hospital Radio station. This would involve visiting patients on the wards, taking requests and then compiling a program before presenting it live.
In 2006 I fulfilled one of my ambitions by moving to Los Angeles and started presenting my weekly show 'Dave's Den' on KCLA-FM, a Hollywood based Radio station.
